Like the previous Worms installments, the game is an artillery variant. The player give an artillery piece a shot angle and shot power, and try to hit the opponent, taking into account wind effects. The player and the opponent exchange these shots in a turn-based fashion. The game puts the player in command of a team of up to eight worms, which can move around the landscape (one at a time), using many types of weapons to try to dispatch the enemy, from bazookas to mini-guns to exploding sheep. In some situations, the worms can also jump, swing by rope, and descend with a parachute.
The game includes an expansive editor that allows players to customize nearly every aspect of the game. Custom teams can be created, and players are able to edit their special weapons, grave markers, flags, victory fanfares, and voice sets, which can be imported into the game from outer sources. A random terrain generator and a terrain-import system are provided as well. I'm unfortunately having an issue with the game D: The game works perfectly, except for one thing: the colors mess up after a while D:
Here's how I downloaded the game (oh, and I have Windows Vista):
1. I've downloaded the torrent with BitComet.
2. After downloading, I've opened the file with 'Open Containing File' (or whatever) and mounted the 'WA' with PowerIso.
3. Then I went back to the file, then to 'updates and other' and installed 'WAPatch' as an admin.
4. After that, I installed 'WA-update-3.6 and lots of other numbers'.
5. Then I went to 'Computer' (or My Computer for Windows XP), opened CD-station (J:) WA (by the WA, I can see that it's Worms Armageddon), and then a Russian menu popped up.
6. However, I did not panic; I chose the second option (because the first option isn't available), which sort of looks like 'HFPA'
7. The game then started in proper English. Even my own language, Dutch, was available.
8. However, after a while playing the game, the colors start to mess up. I'd love to know why and how I can fix this.
That's sort of my problem. I hope you can help me out, because I don't actually play it. My younger brother from 7 years old does. And it gets annoying when he asks me to re-download/re-install the game whenever the colors mess up D:
